Approvals & publishing
Review the exact output, then make a separate delivery decision.
Review an output
- Open Approvals and select a pending output for the active website.
- Read the content, claims and available source evidence. Check that this is the version you intend to approve.
- Approve, reject or request changes. Add a reason that explains what the next reviewer or agent needs to address.
- After approval, choose an authenticated publishing connection if the output supports delivery.
- Leave the schedule time empty only if you intend to publish now. Otherwise select and verify the intended time before confirming.
Approval is not publication
The approval state records a human decision. The publishing job records a separate attempt to deliver that approved output to a provider. A job can be queued, running, failed, cancelled or completed even when the output remains approved.
If no eligible destination is available, connect one in Settings or use the supported manual export route. Do not substitute an unrelated connection just to clear a setup warning.
Follow the receipt
Inspect the destination, progress, error message and provider URL when present. Open the published item to confirm the content and account. Publishing history lets you distinguish the first attempt from a retry.
Use Retry publishing only when the job offers it and you have addressed the cause. If the provider outcome is uncertain, check the destination before attempting delivery again. A duplicate post is not a harmless test.
Cancel or revise
Use Cancel schedule on a job that still allows cancellation. Already-delivered content may require a separate action at the provider. Changing source documents does not retroactively revise a published item.
Bulk approval is a convenience, not a substitute for review. Check each selected output before approving a batch.
