Read coverage first
Link data depends on the connected or provisioned intelligence source. A total is only as complete as that provider’s coverage and observation date. Missing backlinks in Obelo do not prove that no one links to the site.
Inspect the source URL, target page and any available link-health detail. A referring domain and an individual link are different units; avoid comparing their totals as if they were the same thing.
Evaluate an opportunity
- Confirm the source page exists and the target would be relevant to its audience.
- Read the context surrounding the link or mention.
- Identify a useful resource or correction you can genuinely offer.
- Prepare outreach for a human to review, respecting the publication’s rules.
- Track the result and revisit the evidence rather than marking an unverified placement as won.
